Shoot and Destroy

Build Your Battlefield – Engineer Your Assault

Terms of use

Last updated 2026-10-22.

These terms apply when you play Shoot and Destroy on any platform, use the servers we run or visit this website. By playing, you accept them. If you do not, please do not play on our servers.

The game

Shoot and Destroy is free and open source, published under the GNU General Public License, version 3. You may use, study, share and change it under that licence, which also states that the game comes without any warranty. Its maps belong to their authors, credited with each map.

Playing fair

On the servers we run, you agree not to:

  • cheat: aim or wall hacks, speed hacks, or any tool that plays for you or sees what you should not;
  • harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post hateful, sexual or illegal content in chat or in your player name;
  • impersonate other players, moderators or us;
  • disrupt a match on purpose, such as attacking your own team or spamming;
  • attack, overload or try to break into our servers or services.

Moderators may warn, kick or ban a player who breaks these rules, and the game removes some offenders by itself. A ban can be appealed by writing to us.

Community servers

Anyone can run a Shoot and Destroy server, and many are run by players. Their owners set their own rules and moderation, and we are not responsible for them, for what happens on them or for what other players say. The server list shows them as they announce themselves.

What you write

Your player name and chat messages are shown to the other players in the match. You are responsible for them. Do not share personal information in chat.

No warranty, limited liability

The game and our servers are provided as they are, free of charge, and may change, be unavailable or stop at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from playing the game or using our servers.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed. Questions, appeals and reports: [email protected].
